Schalken Bus & Truck Recovery emerged from a vision for the future of electric mobility. It was a conscious decision to enter the field of electric bus repair 10 years ago. Driven by passion and sensing opportunities, we have further developed our expertise in this area, allowing us to confidently call ourselves specialists in the repair of electric buses and other large equipment.

We find satisfaction in devising solutions for damage that seems irreparable at first glance or that other companies dare not tackle. We embrace challenges and delivering results. If we believe it can be done, we will do it!

History of Schalken Auto Repair and Schalken Bus & Truck Recovery

In 1977, Piet Schalken started the first auto repair business in Waalwijk at Eerste Zeine. The company began with undercoating and painting but quickly grew into a complete damage repair company with 7 employees. Schalken Auto Repair was the first company to receive the FOCWA certification and worked on behalf of insurance companies.

Pierre, Piet’s son, started working in the company at age 15 and specialized in quickly and efficiently preparing cars for painting. In 2004, the company moved to Industrieweg in Waalwijk. When the crisis hit in 2008, Pierre sought new customers and started Schalken Bus & Truck Recovery for bus and truck repairs alongside the auto repair business. In 2011, Pierre took over the company after Piet’s passing. Lenka, Pierre’s wife, joined the company in 2018 and now manages the administration.

NEN 9140 for working on electrical installations
Our damage repair technicians work according to the NEN 9140 standard on the repair of hybrid and fully electric vehicles. They do this in a securely lockable workshop with its own access and facilities for safely working with high-voltage systems. We continuously invest in training and education to ensure our experts are and remain knowledgeable about the latest techniques and developments.

Damage Repair Quality Mark
We work according to the guidelines of the Damage Repair Quality Mark program. This means we repair your bus according to manufacturer specifications; with original parts and inspected by a certified and independent examiner. Our certificate guarantees 100% repair according to brand standards, preservation of safety aspects, factory and body warranty. We handle damage claims directly and you have insight into the repair progress.
